In a noble humanitarian stance, the fans of Mouloudia of Algiers, in coordination with the Baraka Association of Algeria, announced the cancellation of the club's traditional annual celebration this year, in solidarity with the families in the Gaza Strip amid the catastrophic humanitarian conditions faced by the residents there.

Algerian journalist Hafiz Draji revealed this step through a post on his official Facebook account, stating: "In light of the difficult humanitarian circumstances faced by our people in wounded Gaza, the supporters of Mouloudia of Algiers, in partnership with the Baraka Association of Algeria, announce the cancellation of the annual celebration of the club and the redirection of its entire budget to support our brothers in Gaza."

Draji added: "The entire budget of the celebration will be dedicated to feeding our people there, through the Baraka Association, which is known for its credibility in humanitarian work inside and outside the homeland."

He concluded: "Because a human being is more precious than any celebration... and because Palestine is always in the heart."

This initiative received widespread praise on social media, as many saw that what the Mouloudia fans did embodies the true meaning of humanitarian sports, and confirms that the Palestinian cause remains present in the consciousness of Arab peoples.
