Officially: Roma Signs Defender Daniele Gilardi
The Italian club Roma announced today the official signing of Italian defender Daniele Gilardi, coming from Hellas Verona during the current summer transfer window.
The club clarified in its official statement that Gilardi signed a long-term contract until the summer of 2030 and will wear the number 87 jersey with the Giallorossi in the new season.
Gilardi is 21 years old and participated in 24 matches in the Italian league during the 2024/2025 season, coming to Roma with notable field experience.
The young defender graduated from the Fiorentina Academy before having professional experiences with Mantova, Sampdoria, and Hellas Verona. He has also represented Italy at youth levels and participated in the Under-20 World Cup in 2023, where the Azzurri reached the final.
