Neves: I Love to See Myself as a Player 6
The Portuguese international Ruben Neves, a player for Al Hilal, revealed his preferred position, especially after coach Simone Inzaghi changed his position during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup held in the USA.
Neves said in his statements: "With coach Inzaghi, I played as a third center-back. I felt comfortable, but it is clear that it is a position I do not like to play in, because with the ball it does not allow me to do what I love and forces me to stay back."
He added: "I always want to be a constructive player in the midfield, possessing the ball and helping the team transfer it from one side to the other, playing with three players at the back and being able to connect defense with attack."
He continued: "I love to see myself as a player 6 who loves to have the ball, seeks the ball, and enjoys building, but without neglecting the defensive aspect."
