Reports revealed today, Wednesday, that Italian coach Roberto Mancini is a candidate to take over the leadership of the Turkish team Besiktas for the new season 2025/2026, succeeding Norwegian Solskjaer.

According to the website "Football Italy", the Besiktas management has become dissatisfied with Solskjaer's performance, especially after the team's failure to qualify for the Champions League, in addition to the loss against Ukrainian Shakhtar with a score of 4/2 at home in the first leg of the Europa League qualifiers, a result that angered the fans.

The site pointed out that the Turkish club is close to making a decision to dismiss Solskjaer in the coming days, in preparation for opening channels of communication with Mancini to understand his financial terms and to study the possibility of contracting with him.

It is worth noting that Mancini is currently not holding any coaching position, since his departure from leading the Saudi national team in October 2024, after an unsuccessful experience where he won only 7 matches, compared to 5 draws and 6 losses.
