The Truth About Zamalek's Communication with Imam Ashour to Reclaim Him from Al-Ahly
Media figure Khaled Al-Ghandour revealed the truth about Zamalek's communication with Imam Ashour, the star of Al-Ahly, in an attempt to reclaim him from the Red team.
Al-Ghandour said on Facebook: "A news was published stating that Zamalek contacted Imam Ashour to not extend his contract, even though he still has three years left on his contract."
He continued: "I contacted the Zamalek board, and they confirmed to me that this is just a move by the player's agents to raise his contract value with Al-Ahly, as happened previously with Zizo."
Al-Ghandour concluded by questioning: "Also, is it logical for a club to talk to a player three years before the end of his contract to bring him back?"
