The Portuguese Octavio Monteiro, midfielder of Al-Nassr FC, has become a focal point of interest from five clubs seeking to secure his services during the ongoing summer transfer window.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Yawm" revealed that Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Ahli from Saudi Arabia, along with Atletico Mineiro, Palmeiras, and Internacional from Brazil, are competing fiercely to acquire the Portuguese player.

Octavio's exclusion from Al-Nassr's external training camp in Austria, decided by coach Jorge Jesus, prompted the clubs to act quickly to finalize the deal before the new season begins.

The player's agent recently stated that Al-Nassr's management is required to pay the remaining dues for Octavio, in preparation for officially severing ties between the two parties as soon as possible.

Press reports confirmed that the outstanding value of Octavio's contract with Al-Nassr amounts to 15 million euros, despite the fact that Al-Nassr acquired him in 2023 from Porto for 65 million euros.
