Algeria Sets Dates for Matches Against Botswana and Guinea in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

The Algerian Football Federation announced the dates of the national team's matches in the seventh and eighth rounds of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Algeria will host Botswana on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Hussein Ait Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou, at 20:00.

Algeria will face Guinea on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 17:00 Algeria time.

Group Seven Standings

The Algerian national team leads Group Seven with 15 points, followed by:

2. Mozambique – 12 points

3. Botswana and Uganda – 9 points each

4. Guinea – 7 points

5. Somalia – 1 point

Qualification System for the 2026 World Cup

The top team from each of the nine groups will qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup finals, while the best four runners-up will play in continental playoffs, followed by an intercontinental playoff to determine the final qualification.
