Crisis in Mouloudia of Algiers Due to Bongoura
Saturday 26-07-2025
Algerian reports revealed that Guinean striker Bongoura, the new arrival at Mouloudia of Algiers, suffered a serious injury that will keep him off the field for a period ranging from 5 to 6 months, after examinations showed he has a double fracture in his ankle, contrary to the initial diagnosis which estimated the absence period at only 3 months.

This new development will force the coaching staff, led by the new South African coach, to wait until the second phase to benefit from Bongoura's services, which poses significant challenges for the management to compensate for his absence during the current summer transfer window.

The club may resort to signing a pure striker, although this step could affect the contracting plans and the balance of the squad, especially with the team's need to strengthen other positions.

Bongoura's injury is a severe blow to Mouloudia of Algiers, which was relying on his experience and scoring ability to support the team's attack in the upcoming phase of the season.
