Ikrami El-Shahat: Pyramids Do Not Want to Sign Hamdi Fathy
Ikrami El-Shahat, the former Al Ahly goalkeeper, denied the existence of negotiations between Pyramids and Hamdi Fathy, the Al Wakrah player, to sign the latter this summer.
He said on the "MBC Masr 1" channel: "Hamdi Fathy is not the ambition of Pyramids, just so we know what that means, and Pyramids' ambitions are much bigger than that."
He continued: "Why have we heard talk about negotiations? I could be conducting a test balloon, as happens often with clubs; they test the waters with a player to see the reaction."
He added: "To bring in a player and pay a large amount, he must be better than what I have."
