The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the dates for the Moroccan national team's matches in the seventh and eighth rounds of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Atlas Lions will play their seventh round match against Niger on September 5, 2025, on Moroccan soil, before heading to Lusaka to face Zambia in the eighth round on September 8, 2025, at the Zambian National Stadium.

The Moroccan national team enters these matches as the leader of Group E with a total of 15 points, having achieved five victories from five matches without any setbacks, reflecting the technical and tactical superiority of coach Walid Regragui's squad.

The Atlas Lions' victories have come against teams such as Tanzania, Congo-Brazzaville, Niger, and Zambia, while the third round match against Eritrea was postponed after their official withdrawal from the qualifiers.

Regragui aims to continue the positive results and secure early qualification for the 2026 World Cup by winning both matches and reinforcing their lead in the group, amid significant fan support and growing optimism about the team's ability to achieve a new milestone in the upcoming World Cup.
