Reports have revealed that Argentine Rodrigo De Paul, midfielder for Atlético Madrid, is missing from the preparation period for the new season, as he is close to leaving the team during the current summer transfer window.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", De Paul missed the physical measurements that Atlético Madrid players underwent this morning, and he will not accompany the team traveling to Los Angeles as part of their pre-season preparations. The newspaper clarified that the player is in the process of finalizing his agreement with American club Inter Miami in the coming days.

Despite having one year remaining on his contract with Atlético Madrid, De Paul has been excluded from coach Diego Simeone's plans for the upcoming season. The Argentine international joined the Rojiblancos in the summer of 2021 from Italian club Udinese.

It is worth noting that the 31-year-old De Paul has played 178 matches with Atlético Madrid across various competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 26 assists.
