The Omani Football Association announced its contract with Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz to lead the national team during the upcoming phase, in preparation for the upcoming challenges.

The official account of the Oman national team on the 'X' platform welcomed the new coach, stating: 'We welcome Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz as the head coach of the national team and wish him success in his journey with the Reds.'

Queiroz has a long coaching career with national teams, having previously led teams from Portugal, Iran, Colombia, Egypt, and Qatar. He played 20 matches with the Egyptian national team, achieving 13 wins, 2 draws, and suffering 5 losses.

His last stint was with the Qatari national team, where he led the team in 10 matches, achieving 5 victories, 1 draw, and losing 4 times.
