Media figure Medhat Shalaby stated that several Al Ahly players wish to modify their contracts with the club.

Shalaby added during the program "Ya Masaa Al Anwar" on MBC Masr 2 that Al Ahly's management has agreed to modify Imam Ashour's contract.

He continued that Mohamed Youssef, the sporting director of Al Ahly, rejected Hussein El Shahat's request to modify his contract, explaining that El Shahat currently earns 16 million Egyptian pounds per season, which is a salary within the first tier of the team. However, his low participation rate in recent matches was a main reason for the refusal to increase his value.

The club's management has informed duo Mohamed Magdy Afsha and Marwan Attiah that they will study the renewal and modification of their contracts in the upcoming period.
