The Italian club Fiorentina announced today that it has officially signed Italian coach Stefano Pioli, the former head coach of Saudi club Al-Nassr, to lead the team in the new season 2025/2026.

The announcement came through Fiorentina's official accounts, confirming that Pioli has signed a contract extending for two seasons, with an option to extend, succeeding former coach Vincenzo Italiano, as part of the club's plan to return the team to European competition after a disappointing season.

Pioli is considered one of the prominent names in Italian coaching, having previously managed several major clubs, most notably AC Milan, which he led to win the Italian league title in the 2021-2022 season, before having a short experience with Al-Nassr in 2024 that did not materialize.

Pioli's return to Serie A comes amid significant fan anticipation, especially with Fiorentina's aim to present a different appearance in local and continental competitions.
