Chelsea Gives Green Light to Madueke for Medical with Arsenal
According to "The Athletic" network, English winger Noni Madueke has received permission from his club Chelsea to undergo a medical examination at Arsenal, in preparation for completing his transfer during the current summer transfer window.
According to the report, 23-year-old Madueke left Chelsea's camp in the United States and returned to the United Kingdom, after an agreement between the two clubs on a deal worth £52 million, signing a five-year contract with the Gunners.
Madueke will become the second player to transfer from Chelsea to Arsenal this summer after goalkeeper Kepa, joining a list of players who have previously transferred between the two clubs during Mikel Arteta's tenure, such as Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz, and Jorginho.
Madueke joined Chelsea in 2023 from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven, where he played 92 matches, scoring 20 goals and providing 9 assists. He also participated in 5 matches in the Club World Cup this summer, having started his career in the academies of Crystal Palace and Tottenham before moving to PSV at the age of sixteen.
Madueke will be Arsenal's fourth signing this summer, following Kepa, Martin Zubimendi, and Christian Norgaard.
