The eyes of Al-Nassr fans are turning to mid-July, as the Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus is expected to arrive in Riyadh between the 15th and 16th, in preparation for signing the official contract.

This step comes as part of Al-Nassr management's preparations for the upcoming season, as they bet on Jesus's experience to lead a strong technical project that confidently returns the team to local and continental podiums.

According to media reports, an agreement has been reached with Jesus on the details of the first team's preparatory program, which includes an external camp featuring five friendly matches in Austria and Portugal.

Al-Nassr will face various teams in this camp, starting with a modest Austrian team, followed by a match against French side Lyon in the most prominent showdown, as part of a training program that extends over 30 days.

The first phase of preparation will kick off in Riyadh on July 17, after which the team will head to Austria until August 4, followed by a trip to Portugal before returning to Riyadh on August 11.

The team will again prepare to travel to Hong Kong on August 18 to face Al-Ittihad in the semifinals of the Saudi Super Cup, amidst a busy schedule of preparations and continental challenges.

Before Jesus took over, the Portuguese school was strongly present in Al-Nassr's history, as the club relied on it on several occasions due to its tactical discipline and extensive field experience.

Some of these experiences were successful, such as Rui Vitoria, who won the league, while others, like Pedro Emanuel, did not last more than 40 days in his mission.

Arthur George is considered the first Portuguese coach in the club's history, while Luis Castro was the last before Jesus, as he led the team for a year and won the Arab Championship title.

The list of Portuguese coaches who have managed Al-Nassr includes: Arthur George, Cader Barito, Helder Cristovao, Rui Vitoria, Pedro Emanuel, and Luis Castro, and today Jesus joins them with greater ambitions.

Al-Nassr is counting heavily on Jesus's experience, which has seen successes with major clubs, hoping that his appointment will be a turning point in the club's journey on all fronts.
