The Brazilian Bento Matheus, goalkeeper of Al-Nassr Saudi Club, expressed his happiness playing for the global team.
Bento Matheus said in press statements: "I am happy to play for Al-Nassr, and to be part of a team that includes superstar Cristiano Ronaldo."
The Al-Nassr goalkeeper added: "I didn't expect to play in the Saudi league, and my goal was to stay in Europe, but financial matters influence players' decisions regarding their destinations, as we live in an era of professionalism."
He continued: "The Saudi league includes big names like Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, among others, and it is a highly competitive league, but it is difficult to compare it to the major European leagues."
He concluded: "I learned Arabic during my time in Saudi Arabia, which is a beautiful country, and we would have given our best if Al-Nassr had participated in the Club World Cup."
