Italian coach Simone Inzaghi conducted a comprehensive review of Al Hilal's situation following a strong participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, leading him to reconsider a previous plan that involved releasing some foreign players.

Journalist Abdulrahman Aboud revealed that Inzaghi intended to get rid of several names, most notably Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and Brazilian winger Malcolm, as soon as he took over the team's technical responsibilities.

However, Bounou's outstanding performance in the global tournament changed the calculations, as the goalkeeper delivered a remarkable display that proved his worth to remain as the first-choice keeper, despite Inzaghi's previous inclination to search for a replacement who excels in playing with both feet.

Meanwhile, Malcolm managed to assert himself in the lineup thanks to his decisive performance, prompting the coach to postpone the idea of his departure until after the summer training camp scheduled to take place in Austria.

According to Al Arabiya channel, Inzaghi requested the management of Al Hilal to initially sign three players, including a striker, a left-back, and a defender under the age of 21 to enhance defensive options.

The Italian coach also clarified his need for more time to evaluate all elements before preparing the final technical report, which will include a list of players not recommended to continue in the upcoming season.
