Thiago Scuro, the sporting director of AS Monaco, revealed details of the negotiations with French star Paul Pogba and the date of his first appearance in the team's jersey.

Scuro said: "We are very happy with Pogba's decision to join Monaco. Everything started when the opportunity arose for him to return to the pitch again, and that was our starting point."

He added: "We invited him to Monaco, we spoke with him two or three times, and we explained the club's project and the style we want to follow, and he showed conviction in the idea."

Regarding the date of his full readiness, the sporting director clarified: "Pogba needs some time, and we are here to help him. Initially, he will need about three months to regain his best form and full physical fitness."

It is worth mentioning that Paul Pogba joined Monaco on a two-year contract after being absent from the pitch since September 2023 due to suspension, before his penalty was reduced to only 18 months.
