Arsenal Approaches Signing Gabriel Heinze to Its Coaching Staff
Reports indicate that Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's coach, is preparing to strengthen his coaching staff by adding a new member ahead of the start of the upcoming 2025/2026 season.
Gabriel Heinze, the former Manchester United defender, is set to join Arteta's coaching staff, replacing Carlos Queiroz, who left to take over as head coach of Italian club Parma.
Arteta and Heinze share a long-standing relationship dating back to their time playing together at Paris Saint-Germain during the 2001/2002 season.
Heinze, the 47-year-old Argentine coach, has coaching experience with clubs such as Godoy Cruz, Atlanta United, and Newell's Old Boys, where he served as head coach until November 2023, when he left after just one year.
The current coaching staff at Arsenal under Arteta includes assistant Albert Stuivenberg, set-piece coach Nico Govaerts, and goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana.
