Ali Kazem, the goalkeeper of Zakho Club, announced his departure from the team after two outstanding seasons in which he delivered great performances, making him one of the best goalkeepers in the Iraqi Premier League in the past two seasons, if not the best overall.

The goalkeeper wrote an emotional farewell message on his official pages, thanking everyone who supported him on his journey within the walls of the northern club, including the fans, management, and coaching staff, confirming that his time with Zakho will remain one of the most beautiful stages in his football career.

Ali Kazem joined Zakho Club on August 13, 2023, and within just two seasons (2023-2024 and 2024-2025), he succeeded in leaving a strong mark, playing a crucial role in many matches thanks to his decisive saves and composure under pressure, and he was a consistent element in the team's starting lineup.

Thanks to his high levels of performance, Ali Kazem contributed to solidifying the team's defensive strength and was one of the main strengths relied upon by the successive coaching staff in leading the team.

In his farewell message, Ali Kazem specifically thanked the management of Zakho Club, the team’s fans who supported him at all times, as well as the previous coaching staff led by Talal Al-Balushi, and the current staff led by Abdulghani Shahid, confirming that they all were part of his success and brilliance with the club.

Despite announcing his departure officially, Ali Kazem has not yet revealed his next destination, which opens the door to speculation about the offers he has received, given the high technical value he represents and the significant interest from several clubs in the Iraqi league and possibly abroad.
