The German club Bayer Leverkusen is close to signing player Malik Tillman, the star of the Dutch team PSV Eindhoven, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Tillman, an attacking midfielder, joined PSV from Bayern Munich and has become a target for Leverkusen after his impressive performances, with the club offering 40 million euros for his transfer.

Leverkusen's interest in signing him comes after he scored 16 goals and provided 5 assists in 36 matches with PSV last season.

For the deal to go through, all parties are awaiting the approval of Bayern Munich, Tillman's former club, which has the right to refuse based on the contract signed between Bayern and PSV.

It is worth noting that Tillman is a U.S. international born in Germany and is 21 years old, having previously played with Glasgow Rangers in Scotland.
