Juventus Coach: 10 Players Asked to Leave, and You Never Know When Real Madrid Becomes Dangerous
Juventus coach Igor Tudor spoke to the press after the elimination from the Round of 16 of the Club World Cup against Real Madrid with a score of one goal to none.
The coach said: "I must congratulate the players; they adhered to the plan well and gave everything they had despite the circumstances. In the end, I had 10 players asking to leave!"
The coach added that injuries and fatigue had a significant impact, as defender Lloyd Kelly left injured, while Federico Gatti played despite suffering from flu symptoms, and Kenan Yildiz was substituted for fear of injury after he started feeling fatigued.
He continued: "We faced a team of the highest caliber, and teams like Real Madrid and Man City make us realize where we stand, and we benefit from those experiences for the future."
Regarding the danger of Real Madrid: "You never know when they become more dangerous, whether when they pass the ball or when they attack quickly? Nevertheless, we had some opportunities, and I congratulate the players for their fight."
He concluded regarding the transfer market and the expected reinforcements: "Now is not the right time to talk about that; we will take a break and prepare for the next season. Let's enjoy our holiday first."
