Tuesday 01-07-2025
In light of the ongoing discussions about the future participation of Al-Police Club in the upcoming edition of the AFC Champions League for elite teams, club board member Tahseen Al-Yasiri has come forward to clarify the latest developments regarding the decision that has not yet been finalized, confirming that the club is carefully considering its options.

Al-Yasiri stated in exclusive remarks: "So far, no official and final decision has been made regarding whether to participate or not. We know that we have more than one continental and regional entitlement ahead of us, primarily the Arab Club Championship and the AFC Champions League for elite teams, both of which are among the highest levels in the continent and require special preparation."

He added: "The matter is not easy, as you will face the elite clubs of the continent from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Japan, South Korea, and others, which requires intensive work and high-level preparation. We at Al-Police Club are working to prepare a strong lineup that befits the club's name and history."

He continued: "We are now closer to the option of participation, but the official announcement cannot be made until we finalize some files, especially those related to financial aspects, which are the most prominent justification that comes to the surface in such participations."

Al-Yasiri concluded his statement by saying: "In the coming few days, we will explicitly announce our final stance, which will be based on the club's interests and our assessment of the ability to deliver a commendable performance that befits our fans."
