Tuesday 01-07-2025
The Sudanese Al-Hilal Club announced in an official statement the departure of Congolese head coach Florent Ibenge from leading the team, following the end of his tenure with the club.

The Board of Directors of Al-Hilal sent a letter of thanks and appreciation to Ibenge for the time he spent leading the team, praising his dedication and significant sacrifices throughout his tenure at the club. The statement, signed by Secretary General Hassan Ali Issa, confirmed that the club decided to embark on a new coaching experience based on the achievements made during the previous period under the leadership of the Congolese coach.

The Board expressed its appreciation for the prominent role Ibenge played in developing the team, especially after Al-Hilal won the Mauritanian league title, in which the team participated due to the suspension of local activities in Sudan.

It is worth mentioning that Ibenge, who is 63 years old, has previously faced several Egyptian clubs during his coaching career, having played against Al-Ahly in 8 matches, against Al-Masry in 4 encounters, and against Zamalek twice, in addition to a previous match against the Egyptian national team when he was the coach of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
