Juventus Intensifies Negotiations to Sign Osimhen from Napoli
Media reports have revealed that the Italian club Juventus is intensifying its efforts in recent hours to try to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli during the current summer transfer window.
Sky Sport Italia reported that Juventus management has not lost hope in signing Osimhen, despite the difficulty of the deal, as the club has entered into intensive communications recently with the aim of reaching an agreement with Napoli.
Osimhen spent last season on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray, where he excelled remarkably, scoring 37 goals in various competitions, including 26 goals in the Turkish league, after moving from Napoli last September without an option to buy.
Reports indicate that Juventus is facing a significant obstacle in signing Osimhen due to a release clause of 75 million euros in his contract, which cannot be activated by Italian clubs.
According to reports, Napoli has set a fee of 80 million euros for any Italian club wishing to sign the player, with expectations of increasing the amount if Juventus is the interested party.
Juventus's interest in Osimhen comes at a time when the team is currently participating in the 2025 Club World Cup, and for his part, the Nigerian striker prefers to continue in Europe after rejecting an enticing offer from Saudi club Al Hilal, which included an annual salary of 30 million euros along with paying the release clause in his contract.
