How Hausen Became Juventus' Nightmare
Monday 30-06-2025
Real Madrid star Dean Hausen is set for an emotional clash against his former team Juventus tomorrow, Tuesday, in the Round of 16 of the Club World Cup, at the Hard Rock Stadium.

Rafael Hausen was seen as a potential successor to Juventus defensive legends like Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci, but poor management decisions led the promising defender from Turin to a path of stardom in Madrid.

Hausen was discovered by scout Matteo Tognonzi and brought from Malaga at the age of 15, quickly standing out in Juventus' academy, but he did not receive enough trust from the first team, despite his exceptional talent.

At the age of 17, he was loaned to Roma at the direct request of José Mourinho, where he played an important role and learned many details of defensive play at the highest levels, even though he was not always a regular starter.

Hausen returned to Juventus in the summer of 2024, but he could not stay at the Old Lady, before being sold to Bournemouth for just 15.2 million euros, before Real Madrid signed him this summer for 58 million euros, after he made a notable impression with Bournemouth and the Spanish national team.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Odienino, Juventus management is experiencing a deep sense of regret over letting Hausen go, considering the decision to sell him as "hasty and unwise."

The anticipated clash between Real Madrid and Juventus in the Club World Cup will be a painful moment for the "Old Lady" fans, who see Hausen as one of their lost dreams.
