Perez stated in press remarks: "Gonzalo can be Real Madrid's striker for 10 or 12 years. He has almost everything: instinct, focus, anticipation, and the ability to read the game quickly, which always keeps him a second ahead of his opponents."

He added: "I don't think he will be much different from Erling Haaland if he gets the consistency and fame he deserves. He is a project of a great star."
