
Officially: Keith Andrews New Head Coach for Brentford
The English club Brentford announced today, Friday, the appointment of Keith Andrews as the head coach of the first team, succeeding former coach Thomas Frank, in preparation for the upcoming season of the Premier League.
Andrews, 44 years old, joined the coaching staff of Brentford in July 2024, where he served as the set-piece coach, following a previous experience with Sheffield United under the leadership of Chris Wilder.
Andrews has a 16-year playing career as a midfielder, representing clubs such as Wolverhampton, Hull City, Milton Keynes Dons, and Blackburn Rovers, in addition to playing 35 international matches for the Ireland national team.
After retiring from playing in 2015, Andrews began his coaching career as an assistant at Milton Keynes Dons, then worked within the coaching staff of the Ireland national team with coach Stephen Kenny, before moving to Sheffield United, and then to Brentford where he now takes on the coaching responsibility for the team.
