Inter Qualifies for the Round of 16 of the Club World Cup with a Hard-Fought Victory over River Plate

The Inter team achieved a difficult victory against its counterpart River Plate with a score of two goals to none, in the last round of the group stage of the Club World Cup.

River Plate played with ten players after Lucas Quarta was sent off in the 66th minute, then Inter scored the opening goal through Francesco Esposito in the 72nd minute.

In the 90+3 minute, Alessandro Bastoni scored a second goal for Inter, while River Plate's Montiel was sent off in the 90+5 minute.

Inter raised its tally to 7 points at the top and qualified for the round of 16, while River Plate's tally remained at 4 points in third place and exited the tournament.

In the same group, Monterrey defeated Urawa 4-0, qualifying Monterrey for the round of 16 in second place with 5 points, while Urawa's tally remained at zero points in fourth place.
