Officials at Al-Ahly Club are planning to sign Ahmed Eid, the right-back of the Port Said Egyptian team, as part of their strategy to strengthen the team's roster during the ongoing summer transfer window.

According to press sources, Al-Ahly has entered serious negotiations with the Egyptian administration in the past period to sign Ahmed Eid, and the deal was on the verge of being finalized.

The sources clarified that Al-Ahly's management decided to temporarily freeze the deal, awaiting the evaluation of Spanish coach José Ribeiro regarding players on the right side, such as Omar Kamal Abdel Wahid and Khaled Abdel Fattah, to determine their fate, whether to stay or leave.

The sources emphasized that the final decision regarding the signing of Ahmed Eid will be determined after the conclusion of the Red team's journey in the FIFA Club World Cup.
