Al-Akhidood Prepares for the New Season
The management of Al-Akhidood Club has initiated its early preparatory steps for the upcoming season by assigning a specialized technical committee to study the needs of the first team, particularly concerning the foreign players' file.
The technical committee includes the club president Sami Al-Fadl, sports director Hassan Marzouk, and Portuguese coach Paulo Sergio, who submitted a comprehensive technical report to the management following the end of last season.
The committee's work is based on the report that identified the main deficiencies and elements that need reinforcement, with the aim of building a more competitive team after securing survival for the second season in the Saudi Pro League.
It is worth mentioning that the club management renewed its confidence in the Portuguese coach until 2026, after he succeeded in improving the results following his appointment as a replacement for Croatian Stepan Thomas, who was dismissed due to declining performance.
During the team's journey, Sergio managed to lead the team in 12 matches, achieving five victories, three draws, and four losses, contributing to Al-Akhidood's survival among the league's elite.
