Media figure Ahmed Shobeir stated that a fine was imposed on Mahmoud Trezeguet, the Al Ahly player, due to his actions recently in the match against Inter Miami.

The match between Al Ahly and Inter Miami ended in a goalless draw, which took place early Sunday as part of the first round of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Trezeguet failed to convert a penalty awarded to Al Ahly in the first half of the match.

Shobeir said in radio statements: "Trezeguet did apologize, and he said word for word: (I am sorry, and it is my fault), and this is a very nice thing that counts for him.. As for the penalty, I confirm with a million percent certainty that Trezeguet was fined, whether Al Ahly announced it officially or not, this is the truth."

Shobeir concluded: "The player has completely moved on, and he was present normally with the team.. He had a desire to score a goal against Inter Miami in the last match, but the matter is over, and what God has decreed has happened."
