The company "Rastar," which owns 99.6% of Espanyol's shares, announced that it has received an official notification from the Spanish Football League confirming that FC Barcelona has paid the release clause amount for goalkeeper Juan Garcia.

The company stated in an official statement that Barcelona paid an amount of €26.3415 million, which includes the base release clause of €25 million, in addition to €1.3415 million representing the difference in the local currency exchange rate.

"Rastar" clarified that the deal represents a net profit for the club of €18.75 million, as the young goalkeeper is set to join Barcelona during the summer transfer window.

The deal is expected to be finalized officially in the coming hours, once La Liga approves the release clause amount, allowing Barcelona to activate the protocols for announcing the goalkeeper's signing until 2031.
