Oil Coach: The Police Deserved the Win, and the Result Does Not Reflect Our Performance
The coach of the Oil team, Adel Ni'ma, expressed his deep sadness after the heavy loss to the Police by four goals to none, in the 35th round of the Iraqi Stars League, pointing out that the result was heavy and unfair compared to what his team presented during periods of the match.
Ni'ma said in a press statement after the match:
"Yes, we lost, and the Police is a great team with outstanding players, but I do not believe that the result reflects the true picture of what happened on the field. We made some individual mistakes that cost us a lot, especially in the second half."
He added:
"In the first half, we performed relatively well, but the Police's goal in stoppage time greatly affected the players' focus. After that, it became difficult to keep up with the high pace of the opponent, especially with the absences we are suffering from."
He noted that his team still has opportunities to finish the season honorably, saying:
"The road is not over yet, and we will continue to work in the coming rounds. We need to address some mental mistakes before they become technical, as some goals came from moments of lack of focus."
Ni'ma concluded his remarks by saying:
"We acknowledge the strength of the Police and congratulate them on their victory, but we will come back stronger, and we will fight to improve our position in the standings. I have confidence in my players despite all the circumstances."
