The French club Paris Saint-Germain has reached a preliminary agreement with Ukrainian defender Illya Zabarni to strengthen their defense for the upcoming season.

According to media sources, including Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Parisian club has agreed with the player on personal terms for a 5-year contract, while negotiations with the English club Bournemouth regarding the financial value of the deal are ongoing.

Zabarni is 22 years old and plays as both a right and left center-back. He began his professional career with Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine before moving to Bournemouth in January 2023.

Last season, the player participated in 39 matches with Bournemouth, 36 of which were in the Premier League, totaling 3,384 minutes. He is under contract with the English club until June 2029, and his market value is estimated at around 42 million euros.

This move by Paris Saint-Germain comes after winning the UEFA Champions League and their desire to strengthen their defensive line to continue competing strongly in the upcoming season.
