The coaching staff of the Zakho team received a painful blow before their anticipated match against Basra Oil in the 35th round of the Iraqi Stars League, due to the absence of Jordanian defender Mohammed Abu Hashish from the match.

Abu Hashish's absence is due to him staying in Jordan, as he was unable to return to Iraq because of the closure of Iraqi and Jordanian air routes, following the recent tensions and security issues that led to the temporary suspension of flights.

Abu Hashish is considered one of the key pillars in Zakho's defense, having had an outstanding season and successfully establishing himself as one of the league's top defenders, making his absence a significant technical loss for the team at this critical stage of the season, especially since Zakho is striving to maintain its third position and continue competing.

The coaching staff, led by Abdul Ghani Shahid, will have to find a suitable replacement to compensate for the player's absence, amidst significant pressure to maintain the team's balance against a tough opponent fighting to escape the specter of relegation.
