Arsenal, the English club, has submitted an official offer to sign Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting Lisbon, following his remarkable performance this season in the Portuguese league.

According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail", Arsenal made its first offer to the Portuguese club, amid mutual interest from Manchester United as well, while Sporting insists on receiving the buyout clause value in the player's contract, which is 84 million pounds.

In the same context, the Portuguese newspaper "Record" revealed that Arsenal's offer amounts to 55 million euros, plus 10 million in incentives, and it is expected to be rejected by Sporting, paving the way for a new round of negotiations between the two parties.

It is worth mentioning that Gyökeres, who is 27 years old, had an amazing season with Sporting, scoring 54 goals and assisting 13 others in 52 matches across various competitions.
