Tuesday 10-06-2025
Jordi Alba, the star of Inter Miami, confirmed that the match against Al Ahly in the Club World Cup will be difficult, emphasizing the strength of the red team.

Al Ahly will meet Inter Miami on Sunday, June 15, as part of the Club World Cup competition.

In an interview with the official website of FIFA, Alba said: "I am 36 years old, but the enthusiasm inside me is still the same. I have participated in major tournaments with Barcelona, and I was surrounded by the best players in the world, and I know exactly how difficult it is to compete at this level. Today I am at Inter Miami, but the passion and love for the game have not changed, and we will fight to be real competitors."

He added: "Our goal is to show the team's character and to enjoy this exceptional journey, as most of our players have never participated in a tournament as big as the Club World Cup, and this is a rare opportunity for us as players, for the club, and for our fans."

He stated that facing Al Ahly is tough, adding: "We have the advantage of playing at home, and we hope our fans will be behind us in this kickoff, because their support will be important against a strong opponent with great experience in the tournament."

Regarding his relationship with Argentine star Lionel Messi, Alba said: "I had the honor of playing alongside him for many years at Barcelona, and then we met again here at Inter Miami after a short separation. There is a unique understanding between us; just a glance is enough for us to understand what each of us wants from the other. We were fortunate to score many goals together and exchange decisive passes, and I have always felt that having him on the team makes me a better player."
