Real Madrid Sticks to Signing Zubimendi Despite Arsenal Competition
Sunday 08-06-2025
Spanish media reports have revealed that Real Madrid is keen on signing Martin Zubimendi, the midfielder from Real Sociedad, during the summer transfer window, despite strong competition from Arsenal.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", Real Madrid does not intend to give up on the Zubimendi deal and plans to reduce the player's buyout clause, which stands at 60 million euros, taking advantage of the good relationship it has with the management of Real Sociedad.

The newspaper clarified that Real Madrid intends to offer the player an annual salary ranging between 6 and 7 million euros in the first season, as part of a progressive contract that increases in value in the following years.

This move comes as the royal club prepares to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, where it is placed in Group H alongside Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal, Mexico's Pachuca, and Austria's Salzburg.
