Fiorentina Announces Departure of Coach After Weeks of Contract Renewal
Friday 30-05-2025
The Italian club Fiorentina officially announced today, Friday, the termination of its coach Rafael Palladino's contract by mutual consent, along with his coaching staff, after just one season in charge of the team.

Palladino took over as coach of Fiorentina in the summer of 2024 and managed to finish the season in sixth place in the Serie A standings. Despite the club recently activating a clause in his contract to extend it until 2027, the coach submitted his resignation a few days ago, prompting the management to begin negotiations for a friendly termination of the contract.

The decision to part ways came amid tensions between the coach and a section of the club's fans, who called for his departure along with the club's sporting director during the last match at home against Bologna.

Fiorentina is currently searching for a new coach to succeed Palladino, with reports linking the club to names like Marco Baroni, Daniele De Rossi, and Stefano Pioli.
