The star of the national team and Zakho Club, Amjad Atwan, announced via his official Instagram account the end of his journey with Zakho Club, directing an emotional farewell message to the club's fans, expressing his deep gratitude for the love and support he received during his time representing the team.

Atwan wrote:

“Zakho… you who made me experience a feeling I have never felt before in my career. I never imagined there could be a fanbase with such love, loyalty, and respect. No matter what I say, I will never be able to repay you… and you will always remain in my heart.”

The player continued:

Atwan is considered one of the most prominent midfielders in Iraq and was one of the key players for Zakho in the past period, but his recent injury and absence from matches have contributed to his gradual distancing from the lineup, which suggests he may head towards a new experience after the end of the current season.
