Barcelona Club announced today, Thursday, May 22, 2025, the renewal of its Brazilian star Rafinha's contract until the summer of 2028, with an improvement in his salary, in appreciation of the great levels he has shown this season under the guidance of German coach Hans Flick.

The signing of the new contracts took place at the club's headquarters in the presence of club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco, with the renewal coming after an exceptional season for the Brazilian star, during which he became one of the team's most prominent elements.

Rafinha was close to leaving at the beginning of the season and received an offer from one of the Saudi league clubs, amid pressure from the club due to his declining performance during the tenure of former coach Xavi Hernandez, but the player shone remarkably under Flick's leadership, completely changing his image and gaining the trust of fans and management.

Rafinha scored 34 goals and assisted 25 others during 56 matches this season across various competitions, making him the most participating and influential player with Barcelona this season.

With this renewal, Barcelona confirms its commitment to its key stars in Flick's new project, betting on Rafinha's continued role as a decisive element in the coming years.
