PSV Eindhoven has officially been crowned the Eredivisie champions for the 2024/2025 season after defeating Sparta Rotterdam 3-1 in the 34th and final round of the competition.
Eindhoven raised its points to 79 at the top of the standings, just one point ahead of Ajax Amsterdam, which also won against Twente 2-0 but could not catch up with the leader.
Although Ajax was leading the league by 9 points five rounds before the end, a series of setbacks in the last four matches opened the door for Eindhoven to seize the top spot and claim the title.
This marks the 26th title in PSV Eindhoven's history in the Eredivisie, continuing their local dominance and retaining the title for the second consecutive season.
