The Italian league has officially announced the suspension of French defender Pierre Kalulu, a Juventus player, for two matches following his direct red card for violent conduct during the match against Lazio in the 36th round of Serie A.

The match witnessed an unsportsmanlike challenge from Kalulu against Valentin Castellanos, Lazio's striker, in the second half, leading the referee to issue a direct red card. This caused a shift in the match, which ended in a 1-1 draw after Juventus conceded a last-minute goal in the 96th minute.

This suspension means the end of Kalulu's season with the Old Lady, as he will miss the last two matches against Udinese and Venezia. According to media reports, Juventus has also decided to impose an internal fine on the player ranging from 50,000 to 60,000 euros due to his behavior.

In the same match, it was confirmed that Lazio's Mattia Zaccagni will miss the next match against Inter Milan after receiving his tenth yellow card of the season.

Juventus currently occupies the fourth position in the Serie A standings with 64 points, and they are striving to secure qualification for the Champions League before the end of the season.
