The Turkish coach Fatih Terim of Al-Shabab appeared to discuss his team's victory over Al-Ahli with a score of 3-1 in the Saudi league summit match on Sunday.

Fatih Terim said after the match: "We gave great importance to this match, not just because our opponent is the Asian champion, but to prove the identity and attacking mentality that we have built since I arrived."

He continued: "We strived to present enjoyable and beautiful football, and we were the dominant side for most of the match. We played the way we wanted, whether when we were leading by a goal or even after we advanced by three goals, and I am proud of what all the players have shown."

He added: "We deserve more points than we have in the league, and we also deserved to reach the final of the King's Cup. I was calm in this match, and perhaps some members of the coaching staff showed anger, but I do not blame them as we have faced injustice in some previous matches, and they were excited for the encounter."

The Al-Shabab coach continued: "Abdulrazak Hamdallah is a very important player for Al-Shabab, and he has proven himself in the Saudi league after playing with more than one club. He has our full support as a coaching staff and players to become the league's all-time top scorer."

He concluded: "I do not know what happened between him and Franck Kessié, as I did not ask him in the locker room about the incident, but he is a player who makes a difference and is a great player."
