The Saudi Victory Awaits Arbitration Decision Regarding Al-Ruwaili's Participation
The Saudi Victory fans are anxiously anticipating the resolution of the legal dispute related to the participation of Raef Al-Ruwaili, the goalkeeper of Al-Orouba, in the match between the two teams in the Roshan League, which "Al-Nasr" lost by two goals to one.
Al-Nasr filed an official protest after the match, indicating that Al-Ruwaili holds a government position, which may conflict with professional regulations, but the Disciplinary and Appeals Committees rejected the request.
After exhausting all internal legal avenues, Al-Nasr decided to escalate the case to the Saudi Sports Arbitration Center, which agreed to consider the complaint urgently, giving the club new hope of regaining the points.
The arbitration panel was formed of three members: Hassan Al-Saif from Al-Nasr's side, Ahmed Abu Amara from Al-Orouba's side, and Alaa Nagy as a tiebreaker, while Al-Nasr's administration was given a deadline until Tuesday to pay the costs and initiate proceedings.
According to what was reported by "Asharq Al-Awsat", the final ruling on the case will be made within twenty days of the payment of the fees, allowing both parties the opportunity to present statements or give testimonies.
Al-Nasr currently occupies fourth place with 60 points, trailing behind Al-Ittihad by 11 points, and its chances of competing for the league title or qualifying for the Asian championship are limited, making this case a last hope.
