Bono Records Unprecedented Negative Figure in Al-Hilal's History
Thursday 08-05-2025
In an unexpected surprise, Yassine Bono has become the first goalkeeper in the history of Saudi Al-Hilal to concede 37 goals in a single season of the Roshan Professional League, a record unmatched by any of the team's goalkeepers before him.

When Bono joined Al-Hilal, he was seen as a strong pillar for the blue defense, especially after his remarkable performances in the Qatar 2022 World Cup with the Moroccan national team, which raised the hopes of the club's fans.

However, the season did not go as the fans of the leader wished; the Moroccan goalkeeper faced many challenges in keeping his net clean, amid fluctuating defensive performance from the team as a whole, especially in crucial matches.

Many of the goals conceded by Bono can be attributed to individual errors from the backline, in addition to poor defensive coverage in some moments, making his task of saving complicated shots even more difficult.

Despite this, Bono managed to keep a clean sheet in seven out of 27 matches, but he received an average rating of 6.67, reflecting the inconsistency of his performance throughout the season, between brilliance and decline.
