The former Iraqi international player, Saad Qais, expressed optimism about the news regarding the Iraqi Football Association's approach to signing Australian coach Graham Arnold, confirming that he has a respectable resume and a successful experience in leading his national team to the recent World Cup.

Saad Qais said: "Arnold is one of the coaches who have proven their worth at the national team level, as he was able to rebuild the Australian national team and lead it to the Qatar 2022 World Cup despite the difficult circumstances that Australian football faced during that period."

He added: "What distinguishes Arnold is his deep understanding of the Asian qualifiers and his success in handling the decisive matches, as he led Australia to victory over the UAE and then overcame Peru, the South American representative, in a very crucial playoff."

He continued: "We need at this stage a coach who knows how to deal with pressure and has the ability to prepare a competitive team, and I believe that Arnold possesses all these qualities, especially after his remarkable performance in the last World Cup when he led Australia to victories over Tunisia and Denmark and advanced to the second round."

Saad Qais concluded his statement by saying: "If he is officially signed, I believe that the Iraqi national team will have a real opportunity to build a strong technical project, especially since Arnold has proven that he is capable of creating a suitable combination of players and working under pressure."
