Al-Nasr Trio Under Attack.. Accusations Against Team Management for Taking It Backwards
Sports media figure Abdulaziz Al-Asimi has harshly criticized the trio of Al-Nasr Saudi, accusing them of taking the club backwards. In the current season 2024-2025, Al-Nasr lost the Saudi Super Cup, exited the King Abdulaziz Cup from the Round of 16, and lost to Kawasaki from Japan in the semifinals of the AFC Champions League.
Al-Nasr, which has a legend like Cristiano Ronaldo, now finds itself in a difficult position, trailing the leaders Al-Ittihad by 8 points in the Saudi Professional League. Al-Asimi clarified via the 'X' platform that the failure is not limited to the players but primarily falls on the current management.
Al-Asimi pointed out that the trio Stefano Pioli, the head coach, Fernando Hierro, the sporting director, and Adrian, the assistant, are responsible for the team's decline. He added that the contracts made by these individuals did not benefit the team but rather burdened the club's finances and worsened the situation.
He also condemned the huge salaries that these officials receive, indicating that they cost the club millions monthly without achieving any noticeable progress. He stated: 'Every day they remain, the team declines more and more.'
Al-Nasr fans are awaiting a decisive match against Al-Ittihad in Round 30 of the Saudi League, which is an opportunity to determine the team's fate in the title race.
